A little girl mocks her needy classmate for failing to bring a gift for the Xmas celebration until her teacher shows her the letter he accidentally left on his desk.<\/p>\n

Every little soul in the classroom was excited as they entered with big, beautiful gifts in their hands. SECRET SANTA. The day had finally arrived.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

None of the kids could wait to find out what their Santas had planned to get them. But while the entire classroom was filled with a bit of joy, a little shyness, and a LOT of greed in the hope of getting the best gift, Bobby sat in a corner, clutching an envelope in his hands, his eyes filled with tears, feeling bad for himself\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo kids,\u201d said their teacher, Mrs. Torres. \u201cAre we all ready?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou wrote, what?\u201d she said rudely. \u201cYou couldn\u2019t even get me a gift? It\u2019s Secret Santa, Bobby!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry\u2026\u201d he said sadly. \u201cI just\u2026 I couldn\u2019t buy you one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEww!\u201d cried Sally, disgusted. \u201cThat\u2019s awful! And it\u2019s so poor! I don\u2019t want it, and I\u2019m not giving you the gift! Look, everyone, Bobby is so poor he couldn\u2019t even buy a gift for me!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At that point, Mrs. Torres intervened. \u201cSally, honey, that\u2019s rude!\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s OK if you don\u2019t want to accept Bobby\u2019s letter, but you shouldn\u2019t be mean to him. Say sorry to him right now!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am sorry, Sally. I am the worst Santa ever! You are a nice girl, and you are my classmate, and I feel very bad that I cannot get you a gift. Sally, my mommy is very, very sick. She has a bad heart, and she cannot walk. She has Grampa\u2019s old wheelchair, and she uses that to walk.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I had saved money for your gift in my piggy bank, but I could not spend it. I need to give that money to Mommy! She will be fine and happy then. When she is OK, I will ask her to get you a reindeer toy. You love reindeer. I know. I drew one for you at the back.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

You understand your friend\u2019s situation and want to help him. Here\u2019s an idea: How about you apologize to him when he comes to school tomorrow? And Sally did that. The next day, when Bobby came to class, she went to his desk and said, \u201cI found your letter after you left the class, and I am sorry, Bobby. I don\u2019t have a mommy, and I miss her so much, and I just felt so bad\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Michael talked Bobby\u2019s parents into accepting the gifts and the envelope, which contained money for Linda\u2019s surgery, and once Linda recovered, their lives changed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
